Project Spotlight

Hyde Park Gardens, London.

Obtaining planning consent was a struggle due to the complex layout of the building. Initially, we did a survey to determine the internal layout to match with the view from outside. Some parts of the apartment were layed out in the neighbouring building. We found that this was due to the property originally being one extremely large town house which was later converted to flats.

Some challenges included accessing the project from outside as tradesmen were not allowed to disturb neighbours. We designed access externally via scaffolding and obtained the right permissions.

Material delivery was another struggle to overcome due to the complex location of the scaffold having to up and over all materials including some weighing up to 600kg.
